Loki’s P.O.V.:

I was walking silently, the snow crunching under my feet with every step.
The icy wind blew against my skin, coloring my pale cheeks and nose in a slight pink.

It was dark around me, just the moon was shining slightly, leading my way through the dark forest of the hidden realm of Yggdrasil.

When I was a child, my father took me and Thor here when he and the king of the hidden realm performed their ritual for peace between our realms. They used to do this at the begin of every millennium.

When Thor and I were walking through the small village in the middle of the forest, we could see one of the races living there. We saw the natives of the ‘silva erat arida’; the shining forest.

The forest elves.

Their homes were built out of wood around the trunks of trees and suspension bridges were leading from one tree to another. It was fascinating to see how different this village was from the golden city of the gods.

They didn’t seem as conceited as Asgardians. They were kind and friendly, laughing, singing and dancing all day.

As I watched the cheerful creatures dance, I saw an elf girl. Her hair elegantly framed her beautiful face as she danced, and the skin of her rosy cheeks seemed soft. Her eyes were sparkling from energy and grace, and her lips were pulled up into the loveliest smile I had ever seen.

Her name was (y/n). She told me many things about the hidden realm and about her race.

I found out they were vegans, because they respected and lived with animals. (y/n) was chosen to be the keeper of the forest, so she had to learn how to protect the plants, trees and animals from their worst enemy.

The dragon elves were living in the mountains of the realm and wanted to be the leading race of the hidden realm since it was created. (y/n)’s father, one of the best sorcerers of their race, created a protecting shield around the forest so they would be safe.
The forest elves are a peaceful race and hate it to fight, so they shielded their realm from everyones eye, so they were hidden to the other realms, and that’s how the hidden realm got its name.

I also asked her about the name of the forest. I was wondering why it was called the ‘shining forest’, and so she showed me. She led me away from the village. We passed a pond, and as I looked at it I could see the sparling of the moon and stars wich were mirrored in it.
Around the pond were torches. She told me that’s where they have their feasts.

As we went further into the forest I finally understood. The ground around us was covered with flowers, the petals glowing in various colors. “Quisque vitae”, she sayed. I glanced at her, confused and curious. She giggled. “The flower of life.” She started.  “Every flower glows for a forest elf. When the elf dies, the flower loses its glow and wilts. As long as our race lives, this forest will be called ‘the shining forest’.”

I kept visiting (y/n).

With every visit, I learned how possessive (y/n)’s father was. The more I came to see her, the more he tried to keep her away from me. I don’t know why, but it hurt me more and more.
He was a terrible man, despite that he protects the forest. But the way he treated such a lovely girl was unworthy. He didn’t let her out of her room most of the time and often she had to beg to be allowed to leave for a while. Though, (y/n) and I became friends, and the older we grew, the closer we got.

Every time my mind wandered off and I saw her in front of me, showing more skin with every layer of cloth she took off. As much as I tried to keep those daydreams from coming back, I failed. It made me want her more and every time I visited her I hoped it finally would get so far. But it never happened.

Now, that night, I again was on my way to see her again. By now we were more than friends and yet, I still did not see the pure beauty of her body.  Not that I don’t want to, but she asked me to give her time, so I did. I did not want to scare her off.

The wind blew the snow against my skin, covering it with ice-crystals. I finally reached the old village, wich was covered with snow.

I walked straight to the tree where (y/n) lived, not caring about how empty the village was during this cold time of the year. The winter of the hidden realm was as bad as in Jotunheim, but it was much more beautiful.

3rd person  P.O.V.:

You were sitting on the ground, the wind piping through the closed windows. If you wouldn’t have a fireplace in your ‘room’, you probably would freeze to death. If you even could call it a room.

Since the last time Loki was there to visit you, your father searched for a spell that would help to keep you from the god. You didn’t understand why your father hated Loki that much, even more than anyone else. Your father never liked others. No other races, no other elves…

He barely let you out, but you were glad that you were allowed to get out on the day you met the young prince the first time.

After weeks of searching for a spell, your father found what he was looking for.

He built a castle-like house out of stones and put a spell over it. It was impossible to break intothe house.
It was far away from the village and you had to live alone. Sometimes your father came by to bring food and something to drink.

Most of the time Boromír came to visit you. Boromír was, besides Loki, the only friend you ever had.

Though, other than Loki, Boromír was an animal. A wolf.

He came to talk, to play and even to keep you company at night. His soft fur was much softer than the pillow your father left you and so you enjoyed it when he came by.

By now you were missing your prince desperately and you were waiting for him, hoping he would find you now that you were hidden in this cage.

Loki’s P.O.V.:

I was about to reach her house in the tree when I was stopped from a familiar voice behind me.

“She is not here.” I heard Boromír speak from behind me. I turned around to see the face of my old friend.

“What do you mean?” I asked him, worried and confused. Was she allowed to go out, or did her father do something to her?

“She is locked far away from here.”

My breath was caught in my throat.

(Y/n) was locked? How could someone do such a thing to a girl like her?

“Lead me to her.” I asked the wolf, and he nodded. “Follow me then..” he answered and ran off, leaving me to follow.

After a while we appeared at a castle at the end of the forest. It was built on the edge of a waterfall, most of the river frozen over. At the edge it wasn’t frozen and the water spilling down from the cliff.

The wolf carefully went over the river, jumping from one stone that was standing out of the water, to another.

I followed, my foot allmost slipping because the stone was covered with ice. I swallowed, looking down at the raging water. If I would fall, the water would sweep me away and the waterfall probably is high enough to kill me.  But this is the only way to get to my beloved (y/n), so I jumped again, getting a better balance every time. As I reached the other side, Boromír led me to the wooden door. I tried to open it, but I couldn’t.

3rd person P.O.V.:

“(Y/n)!” Boromír barked beside him.

A view seconds later Loki could hear the creaking of wood above him and he looked up.

And there, looking out of the window, was (y/n).  He could feel his heart skipping in excitement and relief.

“Loki!” you sayed happily, tears of joy glimmering in the corners of your eyes. For a view seconds you covered your mouth, sobbing, then you lowered your hand again.

“(y/n)! ” the young prince sayed with worry.

“This door is obscured with an iron lock, and I don’t have a key for it. There is no path leading to me this night..” you looked down at him, the silver light of the moon making him look paler than usual. But still you could see his bright green eyes in the darkness, glowing as if the petals of your flower of live would be inside them. But what you didn’t know, he indeed lived for you.

He directed his look to the ground, thinking.

”I know a way to get in. It is a small hole in the wall, but it won’t be big enough for you to get in.” the wolf sayed.

“Maybe you can find the key inside.” The prince wondered and so the wolf ran off, leaving the dark haired man.

His hair moved in the wind and he brought his attention back to his beloved, freezing slightly.

“I missed you.” He started softly. You gave him a sad smile in return, answering.

“I missed you too. I was waiting so long to see you again. And now there you are…”

You stopped, just staring back into his eyes. You knew, if he can’t come in soon, he will freeze to death outside.

“We will be together soon. Don’t you worry, love.” He sayed, his soft and charming voice filling your ears. After a long time of waiting you could finally hear him, see him… but what you really want is to feel him.

After a view minutes the wolf came back, a key between his teeth.

Loki took it, unlocking the door and as fast as he could, he ran up the stairs, not able to wait any longer to hold you in his arms. Boromír didn’t follow, not wanting to interrupt the couple at their reunion.

Opening the door to your room, you could see the god rushing up the last view steps and he stopped in front of you, taking you in his arms.

You kissed his forehead, your lips almost burning against his icy skin.

He pulled back, staring into your eyes for a view seconds before he pressed his lips against yours, cupping your cheeks with his cold fingers. You shivered in his touch, but you didn’t care. The only thing that mattered was that he was able to hold you again.

He placed a view soft kisses on your lips, glad to taste you again. Slowly you pulled away, leaning in and nipping at his earlobe.

“Let me help you to warm up…” you whispered and took his hand, leading him to your bed.

Oh gods, People! I can upload again! Wat a wonderful Christmas! (even if I dont celebrate it.)

Though, this is Kind o for you as  Christmas present!

Once again from a song of Faun. "Diese kalte Nacht" or translated to english "this cold night"

Have fun!
